Rosemary Nuts

Sometimes you just need a quick bite, and if you’ve ever been to Union Square Cafe, you know these rosemary nuts hit the spot.  They are also the perfect hostess gift, the you’ve-got-five-minutes-to-make-a-snack-for-guests, or just plain and simple you want something delicious and healthy.

In a 350 degree oven, spread out:

1 bag of your favorite nuts (I tend to always use cashews–but it is great if you mix it up with many different nuts including hazelnuts, pecans, walnuts, peanuts, brazil nuts…nuts!).

Bake until lightly browned, about 10 minutes.

In a large bowl, combine 2-3 Tablespoons roughly chopped fresh rosemary, 2 teaspoons dark brown sugar, 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper, 2 teaspoons salt, and 2 Tablespoons melted butter.

Throughly toss the warm nuts with the melted butter mixture. Serve warm if possible.
