F#$% you heat wave! I'm in the Northwest!

While the rest of the country lies in the grip of a tremendous heat wave, I’m in the great Northwest this weekend, Seattle, where the temperature has only risen above 80 degrees for a whopping seventy-eight minutes so far in 2011.   This time of year there is even sunshine, and plenty of it.  When conditions are this good there is no better place on earth.

To take advantage I took the ferry across Puget Sound to Bainbridge Island and a nice long bike ride with future father-in-law Ron Erickson. Below I chronicle the journey in photos:

I never felt self conscious wearing tights, but bike shorts are weirdly inappropriate...
