 In Archives, Uncategorized

Wondering what it takes to become certified in Pilates? Have all the articles circulating on dancer poverty made you think it might be time to supplement your artistic income?

Well, it just so happens BodyTonic Pilates Gymnasium, the Pilates studio where I was certified and currently teach, is offering a Summer 2012 Intensive. It will run Tues-Thurs from 12-4 for six weeks, beginning the second week in July. For more information, master teacher Jennifer DeLuca will be hosting an introductory workshop:

The BodyTonic Fundamentals of Pilates Teacher Training

The workshop will begin with an invigorating, classical, intermediate/advanced mat class. Basic anatomy and teaching skills, including assessment of posture and alignment, cuing, and tone of voice will be covered. The participants will learn more about the BodyTonic Teacher Training Program, and test their desire to learn the art of teaching Pilates”.

Sunday, June 17th
150 Fifth Ave

Questions? Just post a comment below and I will be happy to answer. Becoming certified in Pilates definitely changed my life; giving me a more flexible, sustainable, profitable, and intellectually and spiritually gratifying income. I am able to go to college, write this blog, and make art with less stress because of this job! (Added bonus: the fierce shape you get in during all that training)
