{ Dd } Short Short List 2/1 – 2/7
This first short short list of 2016 is for dance, music, art, and theater lovers who need the perfect gateway drug to bring their friends and loved ones to a similar state of performance addiction…let’s expand the audience for live art this year!
1. The Most Incredible Thing at New York City Ballet
Justin Peck’s first story ballet comes out of a collaboration with indie rocker Bryce Dessner (The National) and visual artist Marcel Dzama (David Zwirner Gallery), who has been working with the aesthetic of dance in his contemporary art for a long time. This production is Peck’s 10th creation for the company and his most ambitious endeavor to date, with more than fifty dancers gracing the stage to tell this dark Hans Christian Andersen tale.
Feb 2 – May 7, select dates. On Feb 6th, 11th and 19th all tickets are $30 and the audience will receive a commemorative takeaway from Dzama!
